The Little Brown DogLondon. UK. A symbol against vivisection, the sculpture reminds people of the suffering a poor little brown dog had to go through, in 1902, at the hands of a professor of the University College London. Alerted by two students who attended the horrible class, Stephen Coleridge, Secretary of the NAVS - National Anti-Vivisection Society, wrote the book The Shambles of Science, arising a discussion about vivisection all over the country. |
